Doorstep Score

Terms

Draft for review. Last updated 17 October 2026.

These terms cover your use of Doorstep Score at doorstepscore.com. Contact us at hello@doorstepscore.com.

What the check is

The check is a free, automated review of how a local business appears online. It reads the business's own website, its Google Maps listing through Google's official service, and two public registers (Companies House and the ICO register of fee payers). The score and findings are our opinion, produced automatically, and may be incomplete or out of date. They are not legal, financial or professional advice.

Google Maps content

Reports show details from Google Maps. By using them you agree to be bound by the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy, which form part of these terms. Google's details are fetched live each time you view a report, and we don't store them.

Schemes and registers

When your site mentions an applicable scheme or review platform, we show that a claim appears on your site and link to the scheme. We don't verify it. Companies House and ICO results come from their public data and may lag behind changes.

Using the service

Only run checks for businesses you own or work for. Don't use automated tools to run checks, or try to get around the limits we set. We may limit or block use that looks like abuse.

Quotes and calls

A quote shown on screen is based on the report, not an offer. Any work is agreed separately in writing. Booking a call is free and doesn't commit you to anything.

Liability

We provide the check as it is, free of charge. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, we aren't liable for losses arising from reliance on a score or finding.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
